Most Sundays after church Tim runs the 10-15km home while I drive the kids back and get dinner started (we go to church at 2:30). However a few times now Tim has asked the boys to ride their bikes back as he runs. It doesn’t happen often as they usually need to get home to prepare for school the next day, but the summers are the perfect opportunity for a little Family First Tri time after church.
The ride is a little to far for Isaac to handle, so on this particular day, instead of “leaving him out” he got to do one of his favorite things; explore outside. Isaac and I took Baby L on a walk to explore and see what we could find. We didn’t get far, but Isaac wanted to check out every plant, every stick, and dip his fingers into the Han River.

It is the little moments and little things we do to that help teach the kids good habits; that getting outside and moving their bodies will rejuvenate them. Being an active family does not always have to be intense cardio workouts or something long and planned. Simple walks outside to “explore” can leave an impression on you and your kids.
